Health Resources

The Southbridge Board of Health recognizes the need for greater access to health resources within our community.

The South Central Mass Partnership for Public Health has put together an interactive map with resources for our local communities, including medical services, dentistry services, mental health services, pharmacies, eye and vision care, nutrition and fitness, senior services, and home care. This comprehensive list

Mental Health
  • Psychiatric Emergency Services: The Psychiatric Emergency Services Team at Harrington Healthcare is comprised of master's prepared clinicians who are skilled in providing short-term support, intervention, and stabilization to all age groups
  • Riverside Community Care: If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis please contact our locally-based crisis intervention/emergency services team. We provide around-the-clock, 24/7 mental health and substance use evaluations to people in crisis. Instead of going to the emergency room, services can be provided to you over the phone, in your home, at school, or in another community setting. Phone Number: 877-750-3127
  • Kiva Centers: Southbridge is a small satellite center that offers peer support catering to our Spanish-speaking population, grandparents raising grandchildren, and people seeking support with food insecurity.
Food Needs
  • Catholic Charities: Offers SNAP sign-up assistance and has a food pantry for those in need
  • Tri-Valley Meals on Wheels: Meals on Wheels are provided short-term or long-term to homebound elders age 60 and older who are unable to prepare a nutritionally balanced meal for themselves.
Housing Needs
  • Open Sky Community Center: Offers different types of housing assistance based on needs and availability
  • St. Luke's Guesthouse: The only homeless shelter in southern Worcester County, available for short-term housing to those in need
