Health Department

The Southbridge Health Department is responsible for the promotion and protection of public health. This is done through education and enforcement of environmental, public, medical, and mental health laws and regulations. 

The Health Department provides enforcement of the State Sanitary Code in the areas of housing, food sales and service, pools, and camps. It is also responsible for the surveillance and reporting of communicable disease and the State Environmental Code for wells, septic systems, lead and asbestos abatement, and groundwater protection.
