The mission of the Southbridge Recreation Department is to provide high quality, affordable recreation programs as well as maintain safe and accessible fields and facilities throughout the community. Our programs will strive to assist all residents in enhancing their physical, social and mental well being. The recreation department is dedicated to serve the community with excellence and pride.
ABOUT THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT: The Southbridge Recreation Department was established in 2012. By working cooperatively and actively with the many other youth- and recreation-oriented services in our community, we will offer a variety of recreational programming- sports and otherwise - for people of all ages and interests. The Recreation Department works alongside volunteer members of the Southbridge Recreation Committee. These tireless volunteers work to provide recreational entertainment options such as the Annual Summer Concert Series. They are also responsible for oversight of all town-owned fields and recreational properties. Individuals, groups and agencies wishing to make use of these facilities must issue a formal request through the committee.
