Master Plan for Southbridge:
A Clear Vision Forward to 2030

Welcome to SouthbridgeMasterPlan.org, the web home for information about the Master Plan for Southbridge: A Clear Vision Forward to 2030.

SAVE THE DATE: June 26, 2013, 6:30 p.m, Town Hall, Lower Level

You talked. We listened. We developed a master plan for the future of Southbridge.

The action plan — based on the Community Conversation and an Assessment of Existing Conditions — outlines the "HOW" to make Southbridge a better place to live, work and play!

We will present:

  • Key recommendations (most important action steps)
  • Low hanging fruit (what we can do quickly, without great expense)
  • Priorities (what we should do first)

You will have an opportunity to give us your thoughts regarding priorities and low hanging fruit plus a chance to sign up for helping to make things happen!

Please visit this site frequently for updates on the process, draft reports, and for announcements for opportunities for you to participate.

Here's your opportunity to do something positive for Southbridge.

The Town of Southbridge has launched its master planning process!

A Steering Committee is already hard at work reviewing reports regarding existing conditions prepared by the Consultant Team and organizing an extensive public participation program that will provide residents and business owners with multiple opportunities to get involved!

We Need Your Input

How can we make Southbridge a better place to live, work and play? Get involved in the master planning process!

What can we do together that we can't do apart? Get involved in the master planning process!

If you have any questions or comments about any of this at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In the meantime, please see the attached schedule of events for Fall 2012. We are holding this series of public forums for the purpose of identifying the community's core values, to understand what most people would like to preserve and what most people would like to change. We would like to extend a warm invitation for you to join us at one or more of the events listed.

In addition to these public forums, we are planning on holding three roundtable discussions on themes that emerge from the Conversation with the Community. These will be planned for the winter of 2013.

Finally, there will be an event planned sometime in the late spring of 2013 where we will present the final plan and invite the public to comment.

We also plan to provide additional opportunities for input to supplement our schedule of public meetings. Please check in again.
