Pursuant to the authority given by the vote of the Special Town Meeting, December 8, 1969, Article 20,
accepting the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 22D, as amended, notice is hereby given of
the following regulations, adopted by the Town Manager:
(1) During the period beginning on December 1 and ending on April 1 of each year between the hours
of 7 P.M. and 7 P.M. parking shall be allowed only on the odd-numbered side of any Town way on odd-numbered
days and on even-numbered side of any Town way on even-numbered days. No vehicle shall be parked or left
unattended except in accordance with this regulation.
(1A) The following streets will be one-side parking at all times and DO NOT follow the alternate side
parking rule. NO PARKING ANYTIME is as follows:
BENEFIT STREET east side entire length.
CHAPIN STREET east side Main to Dresser.
CHARLTON STREET south side Worcester to Lyons.
CRYSTAL STREET east side entire length.
DEAN STREET north side entire length.
DRESSER STREET south side Elm to Marcy.
EDWARDS STREET north side Hamilton to Marcy.
FRANKLIN TERRACE west side entire length.
FRANKLIN STREET east side entire length.
GODDARD STREET west side entire length.
HARTWELL STREET north side Eastford to Chapin.
HENRY STREET north side entire length.
HILL CRESCENT inside radius entire length.
LENS STREET south side entire length.
MAIN STREET south side High to South.
MARSH AVENUE south side entire length.

MILL STREET west side Canal to Brick Row.
MOON STREET east side entire length.
NORTH STREET north side entire length.
OAKES AVENUE west side Main to South.
ORCHARD STREET west side Dresser to South.
OVERLAND STREET north side Morris to Chestnut.
PARK STREET south side entire length.
TAFT STREET inside radius entire length.
THERESA AVENUE inside radius entire length.
TWINEHURST PLACE inside radius entire length.
VIOLET AVENUE north side entire length.
WALCOTT STREET south side entire length.
WALNUT STREET west side entire length.
WORCESTER STREET east side opposite Snow St. to opposite Laurel.

(1B) The following street will be exempt from one-side parking at all times and DOES NOT follow the alternate side parking rule:
PLEASANT STREET both sides West Main to Corriveau.
Snow Emergency Routes
(2) The following streets are hereby declared to be ".Snow Emergency Routes". subject to requirements and authority of
Regulation 3 of these regulations:
BENEFIT STREET both sides entire length.
CENTRAL STREET both sides entire length.
CHAPIN STREET both sides Main to Forest.
CHARLTON STREET both sides Worcester to Lyons.
CROSS STREET both sides entire length.
DEAN STREET both sides entire length.
DRESSER STREET both sides Elm west 200'.
ELM STREET both sides entire length.
FOSTER STREET both sides entire length.
HAMILTON STREET both sides entire length.
HIGH STREET both sides Main to South.

LENS STREET both sides entire length.
MAIN STREET both sides Everett to Lensdale gate and both sides Marcy to West.
MECHANIC STREET both sides entire length.
MOON STREET both sides entire length.
NORTH STREET both sides entire length.
OAKES AVENUE both sides entire length.
OLNEY AVENUE both sides entire length.
PINE STREET both sides entire length.
PLEASANT STREET both sides West Main to Corriveau.
SOUTH STREET both sides entire length.
WATER STREET both sides entire length.

(3) During a snow emergency, as declared by the Department of Public Works Head, or when snow removal operations are in
progress, no vehicle shall be parked or left unattended in any of the Town ways denoted in Regulation (2) as
"Snow Emergency Routes".
(3A) During a Snow Parking Emergency as declared by the Chief of Police or designee, or when snow removal operations are in
progress, all streets or those streets designated by the Police Chief, will be "One Side 24 Hour Parking" or "No
Parking" as determined by the Police Chief, until the emergency ban is lifted.
(4) Any vehicle parked in violation of Regulation (1), (3) or (3A), or in such a manner to impair the travel of fire emergency
equipment, or to impede in any way the plowing or removal of snow or ice may be towed away at the direction of any Police
Sergeant, for the cost of which towing charges the owner will be liable. In addition to such towing charges, the owner may be
liable to pay storage charges and fines for violation of these regulations.
(5) In addition to charges in accordance with Regulation (4) a violation of Regulation (1) may result
in a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense and a violation of Regulation (3) may result
in a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense.

Explanation of Alternate Side Parking
Parking on odd-numbered side of Town way begins at 7:00 PM effective for that date .
Example: On Wednesday, December 1, 2010, all cars should be on the ODD side of the
street beginning at 7:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 2. At 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2010, cars should be moved top the EVEN side of the street until 7:00 PM, Friday, December 3rd, etc.
REGULATIONS FOR ALL MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS
Dresser Park, Central Street, Depot Street, Elm Street, and Chapin Street Lots
The Town of Southbridge has adopted the following Snow Removal Policy for Municipal Parking Lots:
Municipal parking lots will be CLOSED to all vehicles the night after a snowstorm to allow for snow removal between the hours of
10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
The Town will attempt to have the Foster Street Lot and the Town Hall Parking Lot cleared and available for overnight parking. Vehicles must be moved by 7:00AM.
Parking in these lots shall be on a first come, first served basis.
